Introduction

"Receiving crypto" (or Collectibles) means transferring crypto/collectibles into your wallet, from someone else's wallet (or another wallet you own). There are two ways to receive crypto/collectibles in Calaxy app (or inside any WORLD app):

1. To your wallet: Use this method if you want to receive crypto/collectibles from someone that is not on Calaxy (or from yourself, from a wallet that is not accessible from inside Calaxy). We cover this method below.

2. The crypto/collectible is texted to you from another Calaxy user: Use this method if you just want to receive crypto/collectible from someone else inside Calaxy. This is a much faster approach, but only works when receiving from another Calaxy user via Calaxy Messenger. ↙️ Receiving Crypto

You can receive any crypto into your Calaxy wallet on supported networks.

To receive crypto:

1. Open your Wallet from the main nav bar

2. Tap the "Receive" QR code icon just beside the "Send" arrow icon. (This pair of icons sit to the right of the "Cash", "Crypto", and "Collectibles" tabs)

3. Select the network of the crypto you want to receive (eg. Select the Base network if you want to receive $USDC on Base)

4. Copy the wallet address using the "Copy" button at the bottom

5. Share the wallet address with the sender (or if you are sending to yourself, paste this wallet address into the "to" field of the wallet you are sending from)

6. This address is where the crypto will be sent to. Once its sent, the crypto will land in your wallet and you will see the balance on the main wallet view

Associating Tokens

Some networks (like Hedera) require you to first associate the token with your wallet, before you can receive it. This is a method of spam prevention - essentially your wallet will automatically reject the incoming token if it isn't familiar (associated) with it.

If a network you select requires token associations, you will see "Add Tokens" and "Manage Tokens" buttons just below the network selector on the Receive page.

To associate a token in you wallet:

1. Tap the "Add Token" button just below the network selector dropdown

2. Paste the token ID into the "Token ID" field

3. Calaxy will attempt to verify the token - wait until you see a green check

4. Tap the "Associate Token" button at the bottom to associate your wallet with the token

Token associations require a small network fee in the network's native token. When associating tokens on the Hedera network for example, you need to pay a small network fee in $HBAR, Hedera's native network token. If you have an insufficient balance of the required native token, you will see a red error message saying "you don't have enough tokens to complete the transaction" - Calaxy will provide you with a "Buy Tokens" link to purchase this native token through our partner, Moonpay. Once you purchase the required network token, you can come back to this association screen and successfully associate the new token.

Manage Associated Tokens:

You can view and manage associated tokens by tapping the "Manage Tokens" button just below the network selector dropdown. The only real action here is removing an association. To remove an association, simply tap the red garbage bin icon beside the token and follow the on-screen prompts remove it from the list.

↙️ Receiving Collectibles

You can receive any Collectible into your Calaxy wallet on supported networks.

To receive a Collectible:

1. Open your Wallet from the main nav bar

2. Tap the "Receive" QR code icon just beside the "Send" arrow icon. (This pair of icons sit to the right of the "Cash", "Crypto", and "Collectibles" tabs)

3. Select the network of the collectible you want to receive

4. Copy the wallet address using the "Copy" button at the bottom

5. Share the wallet address with the sender (or if you are sending to yourself, paste this wallet address into the "to" field of the wallet you are sending from)

6. This address is where the Collectible will be sent to. Once its sent, the collectible will land in your wallet and you will see it in the "Collectibles" tab
