Introduction

One of the magical features of Calaxy Messenger is the ability to text crypto and collectibles to someone else on the platform instantly, without having to worry about paying network fees, copy/pasting wallet addresses, and for certain networks, pre-associating tokens with the recipient's wallet before sending (yuk 🤮).

🤑 Texting Crypto

To text crypto to someone on Calaxy:

1. Tap the ⚡ action menu inside the chat convo

2. Tap "Send crypto" option

3. Select the crypto you want to send from your Wallet

4. Select the quantity and tap "Continue"

5. Review everything and when ready, tap "Confirm & Send"

6. The crypto will be sent in your text chat instantly.

7. You can tap on the transfer message to view transaction details

Boom! You just texted crypto on Calaxy. No network fees, no copy/pasting addresses, no pre-associating tokens.. just. hit. send.

Receiving Crypto On Text:

When someone texts you crypto using Calaxy Messenger, its automatically dropped in your Wallet. Sometimes for newer crypto, you may be asked to "Accept" the text transfer inside the chat conversation of the sender. In this case, just tap "Accept" inside the text prompt to accept the transfer. The crypto will then be instantly dropped in your Wallet.

💎 Texting Collectibles (NFTs)

To text a Collectible (NFT) to someone on Calaxy:

1. Tap the ⚡ action menu inside the chat convo

2. Tap "Send Collectible" option

3. Select the collectible you want to send from your Wallet and tap "Continue"

4. Review everything and when ready, tap "Confirm & Send"

5. The Collectible will be sent in your text chat instantly.

6. The recipient will be notified, and needs to accept the transfer before the Collectible makes its way to their wallet

7. You can tap on the transfer message to view transaction details

Boom! You just texted a Collectible on Calaxy. No network fees, no copy/pasting addresses, no pre-associating tokens.. just. hit. send.

Receiving Collectibles On Text:

When someone texts you a collectible using Calaxy Messenger, Calaxy will notify you and you will be asked to accept the transfer via text prompt in the conversation with the sender. Once you tap "accept", the collectible will instantly be dropped in your wallet.

Is there a limit to how much crypto I can send?

Nope! Send as much crypto as you want.

Does Calaxy charge any fees for sending crypto?

Nope! Calaxy does not charge any platform fees for texting crypto. You may need to pay a small network fee if you are sending on a supported network that Calaxy doesn't cover fees on. Any network fees you need to pay will be quoted on the final "Confirm & Send" panel before sending. For most networks though, the fees are covered by Calaxy.

What happens if my recipient doesn't accept, or declines a transfer?

Pending transfers that sit for too long without being accepted (or get declined) by the recipient will time out and cancel automatically. Once the transfer times out, the crypto or collectible will remain in your wallet.
