Introduction

"Buying crypto" is one of the primary methods you use to get crypto into your wallet. Other methods include receiving crypto or getting paid in crypto (if you are a Creator selling services). When you buy crypto, you spend fiat money (like US Dollars using your Credit Card) using providers like Moonpay or Coinbase in exchange for the crypto you are buying. When you buy crypto on Moonpay, you will specify what wallet address you want the purchased crypto to be sent to. If you provide your Calaxy wallet address, the crypto will be sent to your Calaxy wallet. Let's explore how this all works below.

💳 Buying Crypto

Crypto purchases made from within the Calaxy app (or any WORLD app) are powered by our partner, Moonpay.

To buy crypto from within Calaxy:

1. Open the Wallet from the main nav bar

2. Tap the 3-dot wallet options menu (top right)

3. Select "Buy Crypto"

4. Select which supported crypto you want to buy, and the quantity

5. Tap "Continue To Moonpay" button at the bottom

6. Follow the on screen prompts from Moonpay to purchase crypto and deliver it directly to your Calaxy wallet
