💳 Paying With A Credit Card
Credit cards are the default payment method when buying services from Creators. You can either add a credit card to your wallet ahead time or add it on the fly during checkout (when you go to select the payment method). Any added cards will then display on the "pay with" dropdown selector on the checkout screen when buying services / subscriptions. You can manage your cards from inside your wallet — see Credit Cards & Accounts for details.
__________
🤑 Paying With Crypto
When buying services from a Creator, you can pay with crypto that the Creator has enabled as payment methods in their Shop. Not all Creators will accept all crypto. This is an optional accepted method that the Creator must turn on in their Shop manager. Any crypto that is accepted by the Creator will be selectable as a payment method on the checkout screen when buying their products.
Examples:
Stacy (Creator A) does not accept any crypto in her Shop, only cash. When buying any of Stacy's services, you will only be able to select a connected Credit Card as a payment method.
Jemal (Creator B) does accept crypto in his shop (specifically he has turned on $USDC, $SOL, and $HBAR) in his shop manager. When buying any of Jemal's products, you will be able to select $USDC, $SOL, and $HBAR as a payment method (in addition to any connected credit cards you have on file). Only crypto you hold with sufficient balance to cover the price of the product you are purchasing, will be selectable.
Product Prices Presented In Crypto
If a Creator accepts certain crypto as valid payment methods for their products, and you select one of those crypto as your chosen payment method at checkout, the price of the product will automatically be presented in the crypto you have selected. The quantity of crypto quoted will always meet the US dollar equivialant price originally set by the Creator for the product you are purchasing. This is a real time conversion based on the value of that crypto, relative to the US dollar at the time of checkout.
Example:
Jemal has a 1hr real estate consulting video call service in his shop.
✅ The price in US dollars is $300.
✅ Jemal accepts $SOL as one of his valid payment methods.
✅ You have sufficient $SOL in your wallet to pay for this service, and it displays as a selectable payment method on the checkout screen of this consulting service.
When you select $SOL as the payment method, the price of the service will be presented as $300 USD worth of $SOL at the time of checkout. If $SOL at the time is worth $152 USD, the quoted price for the consulting service will be 1.9736 $SOL ($300/$152 = 1.9736).
This ensure pricing parity across all accepted crypto payment methods.
