If you're reading this article, chances are you have just been approved as a verified Creator on Calaxy App. Congrats! 🥳 You are now ready to start selling. This article will walk you through how to setup Shop on your profile, and start monetizing your fans.

🛍️ Shop Overview

"Shops" represent the collection of subscription products, services, and experiences offered by you on Calaxy (or inside your WORLD app). Shops live right on your profile, but also show up in a dedicated "Shop" tab inside any WORLD that you have created. Your Shop menu is also accessible directly inside Calaxy Messenger > Action menu so fans can quick-buy things you are selling, while chatting with you. Let's take a quick look at all 3 places:

Shop On Profile

When you are a verified Creator, your profile is home to more than just your public persona and content. Its also home to your Shop - which holds your subscription products, services, and experiences you are actively selling to fans.

How it works:

1. Whenever a fan visits your profile, they will see a big "Shop My Shop" button just below your bio. Tapping this button will open your full storefront where they can browse & buy anything you have for sale.

2. If you have listed any experiences for sale, they will display in a card gallery on your profile, just below the "Shop My Shop" button. This is a great way to feature your custom experiences to your superfans!

Shop Tab (In your WORLD app)

If you have launched your own WORLD, as a verified Creator your WORLD will have a dedicated "Shop" tab on the bottom nav bar. When members of your World visit this tab, they will see the same set of services, experiences, and subscription products they would see if they visit your profile. This is just a more prominent way of displaying your products from within a WORLD app that you own.

Quick Shop in Messenger

Whenever a fan starts a direct message convo with you in Calaxy Messenger, they can quick access your Shop by tapping the action menu > Send Request item. This will open your Shop from the chat window and allow the fan to browse and quick-purchase services and/or experiences you have listed in your Shop. This provides a quick and convenient way to do business with you without leaving the chat window. We call this DMs with SuperPowers. 🦸‍♀️

🎛️ Setup Shop

To setup your shop, follow these steps:

1. From your own profile, tap the "Setup Shop" button just below your bio

2. Take the Shop Tour (optional)

3. Begin setting up subscription products (like Fan Club), Services (like Video Calls), and publishing / categorizing Experiences.*

4. You can also enable tipping on your account, which will allow fans to tip you commission-free (Calaxy doesn't charge a fee for tip transactions)

You don't have setup everything at once, just flip on whatever mix of products that fit your business model. You can always add more later. When you happy with the setup, close the Shop Manager and return to your profile. The Shop button will now say "Manage My Shop" — this indicates your shop is initially setup, and can actively receive live orders from fans.

Shop Settings

Tap the "gear" icon (top left) in Shop Manager to edit shop settings. Here you can manage which payment methods to accept (like US Dollars, and crypto). Learn more about Getting Paid.

🏷️ Pricing, Fees & Payment Methods

The base pricing currency for all products in your shop is US Dollars. You always set product prices in US dollars. The default payment method when purchasing any of your products is US Dollars. However, you can optionally accept crypto payment methods in Shop settings, which allows your fans to make payments with any crypto you choose to accept.

Fiat (Cash) Payments

When a fan buys a product from you using US dollars, your payout will be in US Dollars. This is the default mode.

Crypto Payments

When a fan buys a product from you using crypto that you have chosen to accept (from Shop Settings), your payout will be in that crypto (eg. $USDC). The amount of crypto the fan pays at the time of purchase, will always be of equal value to the US dollar price you set for the product. So basically, you are always pricing your products in US dollars, and if you choose to accept crypto, Calaxy will make sure to accept the quantity of crypto that equals the US dollar value of the product, automatically.

Fees

You don't pay any platform fees for your first $10,000 US of earnings. After this initial amount, Calaxy charges a flat 10% fee on all product types except tips (applies to: subscriptions, services, experiences).
